If you know me, you know I love creating traditions.
Every year during the month of May, you can catch me scrapbooking. Brett and I celebrate our anniversary by visiting a national park and I “surprise” him with an annual scrapbook that showcases our great memories and adventures from that year. They have been filled with our many adventures, including, hiking the Half Dome in Yosemite, majestic views of Zion, road tripping to Ojai and even our monthly trips to Disneyland.
It is always heartwarming to look back at all the photos and realize how much fun we always have together.
Fast forward to May 2016, it was time to create a new scrapbook for our third year together. This would be a bit different, as it would include more than just Brett and I. It would include our greatest blessing, Baby Westgor!
This was the start of our biggest adventure.
We were inspired by our favorite Disney Pixar movie, Up! We may be adults, but you can always count on us to be at the theater during opening weekend of any Disney movie. (My love for Disney was certainly rooted from being raised as a Disneyland annual passholder since I was 4 years old, and it sure has not stopped!) One of our dear friends, Vince, gifted us a personalized Adventure Book that was replicated from the movie.
This inspired us to have a Disney Pixar Up themed pregnancy announcement.
This was such a fun photoshoot with Nathan Baker Photography! The photoshoot was everything we could have hoped for, as we intended to pay tribute to the movie that instills the love for adventure throughout generations.
Our relationship has been filled with many great experiences, but we knew that once Tenley came into our lives, it was the start of our greatest adventure yet. As parents, we want nothing more than to hold her hand and fill in the blank pages with great memories in her very own adventure book.
How did you tell your loved ones? Tell us about your pregnancy announcement! We would love to hear all about it.
